Teen Patti, Andar Bahar and Dragon Tiger: How Live Card Games Work
Teen Patti, Andar Bahar and Dragon Tiger are fast card games played with a standard 52-card deck. In Teen Patti, two three-card hands are compared using fixed rankings. In Andar Bahar, you pick the side where a card matching the face-up "joker" lands first. In Dragon Tiger, the higher single card wins.
These games are for adults aged 18 and over. They are games of chance: no system, pattern or "trend" can predict the next card, and every round can be lost.
Key facts: live card games on CricPlus (as of October 2026)
- Live card games run on the same CricPlus platform and account on every official domain, including the main site, CricPlus.Support.
- Card games on the platform include Teen Patti (T20, 1 Day and Test tables), Muflis Teen Patti, Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger, 32 Cards, Hi Low, Poker, Queen, Baccarat, Amar Akbar Anthony, Bollywood, Trio, Roulette and Worli Matka.
- Teen Patti uses three-card hands. Trail (three of a kind) is the strongest hand and high card is the weakest.
- Andar Bahar ends as soon as a card of the same rank as the joker appears on either side.
- Dragon Tiger deals one card to each side. The higher card wins, and suits do not decide the main bet.
- Each table has its own rules panel. Read it before you play, because payouts and tie rules can differ between versions.
How does a live card game round work?
Every live card game follows the same basic loop: a betting window opens, you choose an outcome and set your stake, the window closes, the cards are dealt, and the round is settled automatically. Then the next round begins.
A few things are worth knowing before your first round:
- The betting window is short. A countdown shows how long you have. Once it reaches zero, no new bets are accepted for that round.
- The result is final once dealt. You cannot change or cancel a bet after the window closes.
- Each table has its own rules. The rules panel or "i" icon on the table explains the bets, what they pay and what happens on a tie. Those table rules take priority over any general guide, including this one.
- Past results do not predict the next one. Many tables show a history of recent results. Each new deal is independent of the last.

How do you play Teen Patti?
Teen Patti ("three cards") is a comparing game. Each hand gets three cards, and the stronger hand under the ranking below wins.
In the live versions found on betting platforms, the game is usually dealt as two hands, often called Player A and Player B. You do not play against other people at the table. You simply bet on which hand you think will finish stronger.
What are the Teen Patti hand rankings?
From strongest to weakest:
| Rank | Hand | What it means | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Trail (set or trio) | Three cards of the same rank | 7-7-7 |
| 2 | Pure sequence | Three cards in a row, all one suit | 4-5-6 of hearts |
| 3 | Sequence (run) | Three cards in a row, mixed suits | 9-10-J |
| 4 | Colour (flush) | Three cards of one suit, not in a row | 2-8-K of spades |
| 5 | Pair | Two cards of the same rank | Q-Q-5 |
| 6 | High card | None of the above | A-9-4 |
When both hands have the same type, the higher cards decide. A pair of kings beats a pair of tens, for example. In most versions A-K-Q is the highest sequence and A-2-3 is treated as a high sequence as well, but check the table's rules panel for how it ranks sequences and exact ties.
What are T20, 1 Day and Test Teen Patti?
The platform lists Teen Patti tables named T20, 1 Day and Test. They all use the hand rankings above. The names refer to different table formats, borrowing cricket terms, and the round length and available bets can vary between them. Open the rules panel on each table to see exactly how that version is dealt and settled.
How is Muflis Teen Patti different?
Muflis is a reverse version of Teen Patti: the lowest hand wins. Under the usual Muflis rules, a high-card hand with low cards beats a pair, and a trail becomes the weakest hand.
How do you play Andar Bahar?
Andar Bahar ("inside, outside") is one of the simplest card games to follow. Here is how a typical round runs:
- The joker card is revealed. The dealer places one card face up in the centre. This is the joker (sometimes called the game card).
- You choose a side. You bet on Andar or Bahar, the two sides of the table.
- Cards are dealt one at a time. The dealer deals cards to Andar and Bahar alternately.
- The first match wins. As soon as a card of the same rank as the joker appears, the round ends. The side that received the matching card wins. Suit does not matter: if the joker is the 8 of clubs, any 8 ends the round.
Which side receives the first card differs between versions, and some tables pay Andar and Bahar slightly differently for that reason. Some versions also offer side bets, such as how many cards will be dealt before the match. The table's rules panel lists what is available and what each bet pays.
How do you play Dragon Tiger?
Dragon Tiger is a two-card version of "high card wins". Each round goes like this:
- You bet on Dragon, Tiger or, where offered, a Tie.
- One card is dealt to each side, face up.
- The higher card wins. In the usual ranking, Ace is the lowest card (counted as 1) and King is the highest. Suits do not decide the main bet.
| Card | Usual value in Dragon Tiger |
|---|---|
| Ace | 1 (lowest) |
| 2 to 10 | Face value |
| Jack | 11 |
| Queen | 12 |
| King | 13 (highest) |
What happens when both cards have the same rank depends on the table. On some versions, Dragon and Tiger bets lose part of the stake on a tie. On others, the rule is different. Read the tie rule in the rules panel before you play, because it changes the value of every bet you place.
What other card games are available?
Beyond these three, the platform lists 32 Cards, Hi Low, Poker, Queen, Baccarat, Amar Akbar Anthony, Bollywood, Trio, Roulette and Worli Matka. Each has its own rules panel. Learn the rules first and play small while you learn.
Questions about settled bets or disputed results are handled under the platform's terms. You can read the full set of CricPlus rules on the main site.
How can you keep card games under control?
Card game rounds are short, so it is easy to play far more rounds than you meant to. Before you start:
- Decide your budget for the session and treat it as spent.
- Set a time limit and use a phone alarm to stick to it.
- Never chase losses. Raising stakes to win back money is a common way to lose more.
- Take regular breaks away from the screen.
Our companion guide on setting limits and spotting warning signs covers this in more detail, including where to find free help.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best hand in Teen Patti?
A trail, three cards of the same rank, is the strongest hand in standard Teen Patti. In most versions three aces is the highest trail. The order then runs pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair and high card.
Is Andar Bahar based on skill or luck?
Andar Bahar is a game of chance. The side that receives the first card matching the joker's rank wins, and no strategy can predict where that card will appear. Bet only what you can afford to lose.
What happens on a tie in Dragon Tiger?
It depends on the table. Some versions offer a separate Tie bet, and the rule for Dragon and Tiger bets on a tie varies between versions. Check the table's rules panel before you play.
Can past results predict the next round?
No. Each deal is independent, so a run of Andar wins or Dragon wins does not make the other side more likely next time. Result histories show what happened, not what will happen.
Do I need a separate account to play live card games?
No. Live card games run on the same CricPlus platform as everything else on CricPlus.Support, so the same CricPlus username and password work. New IDs and password resets come only from official CricPlus Support on WhatsApp.
Who can play live card games on CricPlus?
Only adults aged 18 and over can play. You should also check the laws where you live before you play, and set a budget and time limit for every session.
